Chalkstripe

Posted by Lance Miller On February - 22 - 2009

Suits with a chalkstripe scream for attention and are therefore best left to artistic types or the occasional entrepreneur. Unlike a pinstripe, the chalkstripe is really one stripe that resembles the color and figure of a chalkstripe one can imagine a child drawing over a school board. It shouldn’t be perfectly straight. Those that are very straight aren’t really chalk stripes, but should be named just ’stripes’.
