Cotton

Posted by Lance Miller On February - 22 - 2009

Cotton comes from a cotton plant (Gossypium) and is spun to a thread to produce a soft and breathable textile or other product. Cotton has many advantages, it is light, strong, heat resistant and comfortable. The quality of the cotton is determined by the length of the fiber and the fineness and purity. Egyptian and Sea island cotton are well respected because of their long fine fibers that show a great gloss.
