How to tie a tie, the Neapolitan style [video]

Posted by Lance Miller On April - 27 - 2010

This movie shows you how to tie a tie the Neapolitan style. The Neapolitan style is my personal favorite because it is quite sophisticated and looks great, especially with two dimples. You may chose to either create one or two dimples just below the knot in the tie.

Here is the picture and I’d like to know if this is the Neapolitan style.

    Thank you,

Hi Bas! In July we are posting more videos on how to tie a tie in different styles, including the Windsor knot. The shirt she’s wearing in the video is a made-to-measure SuitSupply shirt that belongs to her mother :) She is waiting for her batch of shirts to arrive..

Who is the beautiful blonde who demonstrates how to tie the Neopolitan knot and how to fold pocket squares? I hope to see more videos of her.

  7. stephen Said,

Very informative videos, but haven’t you got any in which for instance, some older father-figure type guy shows us men what to wear, and how to put it on, instead of some lady?

I have nothing against girls, on the contrary, but you must admit that videos in which men showed women how to put on tights and bras, shop for blouses and skirts or walk in heels would look odd, right?

  9. Ryan J Said,

    Folks,

I think this style of knot looks extremely untidy and sloppy. When you can see the wraps around the tongue it looks bad. Looks too much like you are trying to be impressive and not succeeding. No offense, but perhaps because it is a woman tying the tie. I agree with the last gentleman when he said that women would not appreciate being shown how to wear a brazier. I like the double windsor, personally. But, I’ve seen others wear a four in hand that looked alright. I think it truly depends on the tie how you tie it. Should match the collar size.

    Thanks.
